Paz, the Grand City of Invention
Paz is the world’s most technologically advanced and isolated nation. Built as a singular, massive city, all races, types, and personalities inhabit it. While being diverse, it is also the homeland of both Gnomes and Halflings, two races of smaller people who escaped the violent and dangerous topside for the security of their underground fortress.
The inventors of Paz have designed much of the world’s technological advancements, mostly in warfare where their ships, artillery, blades, and armor are their biggest exports. This provided the city with unbelievable amounts of wealth, which its ruler, King Decx Shiffley, put almost solely back into more research and improving the lives of his citizens.
Invitation to Paz is exclusive, as many secrets are held deep within their cavernous walls. They are very interested in retaining their sovereignty, which required being exceptionally skeptical of visitors. Some uninvited filter in from the outside world but are few and rare. There are few direct entrances, and it is rumored that only through magical means can anyone enter Paz, one of the many theories outsiders have about the mysterious place.
